The "It's" Man was a character played by Michael Palin, a bedraggled, gray-bearded man who regularly appeared on Monty Python's Flying Circus. He normally appeared at the top of the programme, uttering a single word -- "It's" -- leading immediately into the show's animated title sequence.

The "It's" Man was the first character to appear in the first Monty Python episode, "Whither Canada", emerging from the sea, and making his way to the camera on the shore. At the end of the episode, he was shown lying face down on the beach, and after being prodded with a stick from off-screen, staggering his way back into the water.
